Bears sign former Falcons RB Jacquizz Rodgers

The Chicago Bears have signed former Atlanta Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers to a one-year deal.

The Chicago Bears today signed RB Jacquizz Rodgers to a one-year contract.

Rodgers, originally selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 5th round (145th overall) of the 2011 NFL draft out of Oregon State, has appeared in 65 games with five starts all with Atlanta. For his career, the Richmond, Texas native has totaled 1,116 yards rushing on 305 attempts (3.7 avg), 1,104 receiving yards on 155 receptions (7.1 avg) and 10 total touchdowns (five rushing and five receiving). His 2,220 yards from scrimmage ranks second among Falcons running backs since 2011. On special teams, Rodgers has returned 49 kickoffs for 1,177 yards (24.0 avg).

Rodgers has appeared in 3 postseason contests, tallying 20 rushes for 96 yards (4.8 avg) and 6 receptions for 26 yards (4.3 avg).
