The Chicago Bears have signed six-year veteran tight end Bear Pascoe to a one-year contract.

Pascoe has appeared in 82 games with 34 starts over six seasons with the New York Giants (2009-13) and Atlanta Falcons (2014), recording 40 receptions for 336 yards (8.4 ypr) and two touchdowns. He has seen action in at least 15 games in each of the last five seasons, including all 16 games on three occasions (2011, 2013-14). Last season, Pascoe played in all 16 contests with two starts for the Falcons, catching two pass for three yards and a touchdown.

In four postseason contests during the Giants Super Bowl XLVI title run, Pascoe had five receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown, including four receptions for 33 yards in Super Bowl XLVI versus New England.

The 6-5, 265-pound Fresno State product was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
