AnalysisIf you are looking for a running back that's terrific in the passing game this is your guy. Langford is a former defensive back and wide receiver that finally made the fulltime conversion to running back. He's 208-pounds and ran 4.42 [forty] at Combine. Langford earned 27 starts, rushing for 2,967 yards and 40 touchdowns. He also caught 39 passes. Langford has good quickness and shows a nice burst of explosion when he needs speed. He can also be elusive in space. I think this for Spartan has a chance to be an every down back in the NFL.
Dave-Te' Thomas Player Evaluation
During his collegiate career, Langford (6-0, 208) rushed 577 times for 2,967 yards and 40 touchdowns. He appeared in 50 games, including 27 consecutive starts to finish his career. He had 18 career 100-yard games, including 16 straight against Big Ten opponents.
As a senior in 2014, Langford rushed for 1,522 yards and was honorable mention All-Big Ten.
Langford is one of the fastest running back in this draft, running a 4.42 40-yard dash at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine. He played both cornerback and wide receiver early in his career for the Spartans. He’s not a physical runner but his hands and quickness are above average. He's also a very good blocker in pass protection.
