In the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected offensive tackle Tayo Fabuluje from Texas Christian University.
Fabuluje (6-6, 353) began his collegiate career at BYU in 2010 before transferring to TCU in 2011. He started 12 games in 2012, 10 at left tackle, and was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and the conference’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year.
His mother was incarcerated in 2013, which forced him to transfer back to BYU, yet he did not have any contact with the football team. He then transferred back to TCU in 2014.
Last year, he started 12 games at left tackle and was named an AP second-team All-Big 12 selection. Behind Fabuluje, the Horned Frogs racked up 6,292 yards of total offense in 2014.
Notable about Fabuluje is his massive size. He’ll likely be a right tackle in the NFL but he might be best fit at the guard position. He’s a strong run blocker but could struggle with speed rushers at the next level.
