The Chicago Bears receiving corps received a boost today when Eddie Royal returned to practice on a limited basis.
Royal has been sideline due to a knee injury since Week 8. Head coach John Fox said Royal looked "pretty good."
“I’m just kind of taking it one day at a time," Royal said. "Today was a good start and just moving around, doing the different cuts, running the routes and catching passes. So it was a good day.
"It happened [during the Minnesota game]. It was just one of them things, you get up and you think that you’re OK until the adrenaline kind of wears off and then you realize that something went wrong. It was just one of those things. It put me out for a while. It’s been frustrating not being out there. But like I said I’m glad to be back.”
Also limited for the Bears were OLB Sam Acho (shoulder), ILB Shea McClellin (knee), TE Zach Miller (ribs) and CB Tracy Porter (ankle).
The news wasn't so good for OLB Pernell McPhee, who sat out today's session to rest his knee, which has been bothering him for a month.
"I think what we’ve gotten out of him the last few weeks is about all we could expect right now," defensive coordinator Vic Fango said today.
Also out for the Bears were WR Marquess Wilson (foot) and S Antrel Rolle (knee).
