Bears first-round rookie Kevin White will not play this season

The Chicago Bears have opted to keep first-round rookie Kevin White on the PUP list for the remainder of the year.

The Chicago Bears will keep first-round rookie wide receiver Kevin White on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list this season. His practice window has officially closed.

White suffered a stress fracture in his shin back in OTAs, which was followed by surgery. He practiced with the team the past three weeks but the team has decided to shut him down.

White should be ready to go at the start of off-season activities next year.

The Bears also elevated LB John Timu from the practice squad to the active roster and waived DL Ziggy Hood.
