Chicago Bears still flush with cap space following Day 1 acquisitions

After signing five players yesterday, the Chicago Bears still have plenty of money to spend in free agency. Plus contract details for Danny Trevathan and Bobby Massie.

Even after signing five players yesterday - Danny Trevathan, Bobby Massie, Tracy Porter, Jacquizz Rodgers, Nick Becton - the Chicago Bears still have $31.4 million remaining in cap space, according to the NFLPA.

The Bears will use roughly $7 million on the incoming draft class, meaning they have about $24 million to spend in free agency.

That number could elevate to nearly $30 million if the Bears find a trade partner for disgruntled tight end Martellus Bennett.
