In the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected defensive back DeAndre Houston-Carson from William & Mary.
Houston-Carson (6-1, 201) started three years at cornerback before moving to free safety his senior season. In 2015 he was named a consensus All-American.
He led W&M in tackles (109) and ranked first in the CAA in tackles per game (8.4) among defensive backs last season.
A team captain, Houston-Carson excelled on special teams. He was a starting gunner on the punt team and blocked a whopping nine kicks/punts during his collegiate career.
He finished his career with 293 tackles and 10 interceptions.
