Chicago Bears sign three tryout rookies

The Chicago Bears have signed three tryout rookies from this weekend's minicamp to three-year contracts.

The Chicago Bears have signed the following undrafted rookies: DL Kenton Adeyemi, P Ben LeCompte and WR Kieren Duncan. All three players were tryout invites during this weekend's rookie minicamp.

Adeyemi (6-4, 291) is a 24-year-old out of the University of Connecticut. He had 3.0 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss in 23 starts the past two years combined. He played defensive end for the Huskies and lined up at 5-technique for the Bears the past three days.

LeCompte played for North Dakota State and was a second-team AP All-American last season and ranked second in the FCS with a 45.85 punt average. He was a three-time All-Missouri Valley Conference honoree and finished his collegiate career with a school record 44.55 yards per punt.

Duncan (5-11, 170) played for Colorado State and in 2015 was named first-team All-RMAC Offense, All-RMAC first-team kick returner and All-RMAC honorable mention punt returner. At his pro day, he ran a 4.32 40-yard dash.

During today's practice, Duncan had the best catch of rookie minicamp, diving for a ball thrown well off target. He'll compete in training camp for one of the starting returner gigs.
