The Chicago Bears today signed former Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Nate Chandler.
The move fills the roster vacancy left open after the club waived Tayo Fabuluje. Chandler is a three-year NFL veteran who has played mostly right tackle during his professional career.
From the official press release:
Chandler has appeared in 37 games with 19 starts in three seasons (2012-14) with the Carolina Panthers. He did not appear in any games in 2015 after being placed on Injured Reserve in September.
The UCLA alum entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Panthers in 2012. Chandler started his professional career as a defensive tackle before switching to the offensive line in 2013. All 19 of his career starts are on the offensive side of the ball.
