The Chicago Bears have signed veteran free-agent offensive lineman Amini Silatolu and waived QB Dalyn Williams.
Silatolu has appeared in 34 games with 28 starts at guard over four seasons with the Carolina Panthers (2012-15). He earned all-rookie honors in 2012 after being selected in the 2nd round (40th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Panthers out of Midwestern State.
Injuries have hampered Silatolu's career, as he's played just 19 games the past three seasons combined. The 6-4, 320 pounder is a four-year veteran whom the Bears hope can replace Manny Ramirez, who retired last month, as depth along the interior of the offensive line.
Williams joined the Bears as an undrafted rookie out of Dartmouth in 2016. He attended the Bears 2016 rookie minicamp on a tryout basis before signing with the team in June.
