Chicago Bears signe veteran CB Brandon Boykin

The Chicago Bears have signed CB Brandon Boykin and WR B.J. Daniels.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The Chicago Bears signed DB Brandon Boykin and WR B.J. Daniels and declared Pernell McPhee, Amini Silatolu and Marquess Wilson active/PUP.

Boykin has appeared in 64 career games with 7 starts over four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles (2012-14) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2015). He has also spent time with the Carolina Panthers (2016). Originally drafted in the fourth round (123rd overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft, Boykin owns 131 tackles, eight interceptions, one interception return touchdown, 37 pass breakups, two sacks, two tackles for a loss, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. His six interceptions in 2013 ranked tied for second in the NFL behind Richard Sherman.

Daniels saw action in 8 contests over three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers (2013), Seattle Seahawks (2013-15) and Houston Texans (2015). He has also spent time with the New York Giants (2016). On offense, Daniels has recorded two receptions for 18 yards (9.0 avg), six rush attempts for six yards (6.0 avg) and has completed one-of-two pass attempts for seven yards. On special teams he owns five punt returns for 25 yards (5.0 avg).

The Bears roster is now at 90.
