Chicago Bears running back Jeremy Langford has a sprained ankle, according to Ian Rapaport of NFL.com.
It was reported as an Achilles injury by NBC during the Sunday Night Football broadcast but the Bears called it an ankle injury from the start.
ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that Langford will miss 4-6 weeks.
Langford ran the ball 3 times for 31 yards (10.3 yard per carry) and caught 2 passes for 15 yards against the Cowboys, before leaving the game in the fourth quarter.
Fifth-round rookie Howard played 49 snaps in Week 3, compared to just 15 for Langford, rushing 9 times for 45 yards and caught 4 passes for 47 yards. Howard will likely take over as the starter with Langford out. Ka'Deem Carey will be a part of the backfield rotation as well, although he sat out Sunday's contest due to a hamstring injury. Raheem Mostert, who was promoted from the practice squad last week, will factor in if Carey remains sidelined.null
