Chicago Bears sign CB Marcus Cooper

The Chicago Bears have signed veteran defensive back Marcus Cooper to a three-year contract.

The Chicago Bears continue to add to their secondary with the signing of CB Marcus Cooper.

Cooper is a four-year NFL veteran who was originally drafted in the seventh round by the Chiefs. He played his first three years in Kansas City before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals for a seventh-round pick last season.

A part-time player for the Chiefs, Cooper started 13 games for the Cardinals last season, finishing the year with 60 tackles, 11 pass breakups and 4 interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

Cooper (6-2, 192) has the size to play the boundary corner position alongside Prince Amukamara, who was signed earlier today.
