Bears Make Roster Moves

The Bears have added a rookie linebacker to their practice squad.

This is a time of year in which teams like the Bears will add players to their practice squad so that they can get a look at what they can do. This time last week, the Bears added mammoth, but raw, defensive tackle Israel Idonije to their practice squad. This week, the Bears have added an intriguing linebacker.

Jason Klabacha reports today that the Bears have added rookie linebacker Marcus Reese to their practice squad.

Earlier this year, Reese signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately for him, linebacker was probably the Niners deepest defensive position at the time, and Reese was released despite an impressive training camp and exhibition season. At the time, Reese was tied for the team lead in tackles with 14, including eight tackles in his last exhibition game with the team.

BearReport.com will present an exclusive scouting report on Reese later today. We have also updated our Practice Squad and Transactions listings.
