Mike Brown named NFC Denfesive Player of Week

For the second successive week, Brown returned an overtime interception for a game-winning touchdown, this time giving the Bears a 27-21 victory against Cleveland.

With 2:50 elapsed in overtime, Brown chased down a batted pass by Cleveland Browns quarterback Tim Couch, and returned it 16 yards for the game-winning score.

The previous week against San Francisco, Brown returned an interception 33 yards for the game-winning score only 16 seconds into OT in the Bears' 37-31 victory against the 49ers.

"This defies imagination," Brown said after the victory against Cleveland. "If a book was written about this, I don't think anyone would believe it. I don't know how to explain it -- higher-power, luck, destiny, whatever you want to call it."

In his second season out of Nebraska, this is Brown's first Player of the Week honor.
