Europe Week 3

While all the attention of the football world is understandably focussed on the crop of college talent available in this weekend's draft, there are several Bears that are contributing in NFL Europe.

Jerry Schumacher continues to make the most of his playing time for Amsterdam. The starting middle linebacker tallied 6 tackles (4 solos) in the Admirals 3-0 victory over the Scottish Claymores in Week 3.

Schumacher has a chance to challenge Hunter Hillenmeyer for a roster spot. The two will compete in training camp for the honor to backup perennial Pro Bowler Brian Urlacher.

LB Marcus Reese had a fumble recovery in the Cologne Centurions 35-31 loss to Berlin. The starting strong-side linebacker also had four tackles (3 solos).

Brooks Barnard is the leading punter in the league averaging 38.3 yards per punt. He's pinned the opponent inside the 20 three times without a touchback.

Barnard could be a cheaper option to current punter Brad Maynard.

On the season WR Andre Forde has four receptions with an average of 7.5 yards per catch for the Admirals Israel Idonije has two tackles in limited action through three games for Berlin.
