Scoring Summary: Bears 19, Titans 17

The Bears offense continues to be more offensive than anything else, but the defense and special teams each scored to lead the Bears to their third straight win.

FIRST QUARTER: WR Derrick Mason 29-yard touchdown reception from QB Billy Volek at 2:17. After the Bears third straight three and out to open the game the Titans took over just shy of midfield. Volek completed 3-of-4 on the drive for 43 yards, including a 13-yard completion to Drew Bennett on third and eight. PAT by Gary Anderson was good. Drive: 6 plays, 58 yards in 2:09. Titans 7, Bears 0.

SECOND QUARTER: DE Michael Haynes 45-yard interception return for a touchdown at 0:18. The defense forced two Chris Brown fumbles that gave the offense the ball deep inside Tennessee territory, but on both occasions walked away without points. With a chance to add a field goal before the half, Volek tried a dump off pass on third and short. However, Haynes read the play and after tipping the ball to himself, took it the distance for the defense's fourth return for a touchdown this season. PAT by Paul Edinger was good. Drive: 1 play, 45 yards. Bears 7, Titans 7.

THIRD QUARTER: PR R.W. McQuarters 75-yard punt return for a touchdown at 11:03. The Bears forced a three and out to start the second half and booming 57-yard punt was outdone by McQuarters. He caught the ball in the middle of the field and cut to his right. Thanks to a block by Todd McMillon he reached the sideline and cut up field. Joe Odom helped spring him into the open field with a block and he out ran the Titans coverage team for his third career punt return for a score. PAT by Edinger was good. Drive: 1 play, 75 yards. Bears 14, Titans 7.

FOURTH QUARTER:PK Gary Anderson 33-yard field goal at 12:56. The Bears looked to come away with their fourth turnover of the game, but Brian Urlacher bobbled a Volek pass that was ruled an incomplete rather than an interception. Lovie Smith attempted to challenge the play, but was told the play could not be reviewed because the whistle had blown. Volek hit on 4-of 5 his pass attempts on the possession for 45 yards including a 26-yard completion to Eddie Berlin Drive: 9 plays, 51 yards in 4:36. Bears 14, Titans 10.

FOURTH QUARTER: WR Drew Bennett 47-yard touchdown reception from Volek at 6:00. After Krenzel's second interception of the game the Titans quickly turned the mistake into points. Volek completed 3-of-4 for 81 yards. Volek had all day to find Bennett, who beat Mike Green deep. PAT by Anderson was good. Drive 4 plays, 81 yards in 1:15. Titans 17, Bears 14.

FOURTH QUARTER: PK Paul Edinger 29-yard field goal at 0:52. With the Bears offense not doing anything on their 14 possessions the unit got what they needed to send the game into overtime. Krenzel completed 4 of 7 passes for 65 yards, including an 11-yard connection to David Terrell on 4th and 2 that gave the Bears first down at the Tennessee 37. A play later he found Bobby Wade wide-open over the middle for a 22-yar first d gain. Drive: 10 plays, 69 yards in 1:59. Bears 17, Titans 17.

OVERTIME: DE Adewale Ogunleye tackled Fred Miller in the end zone for a safety at 11:52. The Bears defense played a great game and capped the team's third straight victory by coming up with consecutive sacks by Hunter Hillenmeyer and Alex Brown, who forced Volek fumble. It's only the second time in NFL history that a game has ended on a safety. Bears 19, Titans 17.
