Shelton Suspended Four Games

Chicago Bears fullback Daimon Shelton has been suspended for the Bears' next four games for violating the NFL Policy on Anabolic Steroids and Related Substances.

Shelton's suspension begins immediately. He is suspended for the Bears' next four games -- a combination of 2001 postseason and 2002 regular-season games-- including the Bears' Divisional Playoff game to be held the weekend of January 19-20.

Shelton appeared in 12 games at fullback and had 12 catches including one touchdown.

Stanley Pritchett who saw action in the season finale against Jacksonville will replace Shelton at fullback.
