Scoring Summary: Jaguars 22-Bears 3

This figured to be a low scoring game, but it's hard to beat anyone when you put just a field goal on the board. Byron Leftwich tossed two touchdown passes against the Bears.

FIRST QUARTER: WR Reggie Williams 6-yard touchdown reception from QB Byron Leftwich at 3:18. The same duo started the possession with a 13-yard completion to move the Jacksonville 40. Fred Taylor's 18-yard run moved the ball into Chicago territory. Consecutive completions of 13 and 12 yards gave the Jaguars their first red zone opportunity of the day. It appeared the Bears defense had held Jacksonville to a field goal attempt, but a questionable illegal contact penalty on Mike Green gave the Jaguars a fresh set of downs. PAT by Josh Scobee was good. Drive: 11 plays, 73 yards in 4:49. Jaguars 7, Bears 0.

SECOND QUARTER: PK Paul Edinger 42-yard field goal at 1:44. The offense struggled to get anything going in the first half, but started at midfield. Chad Hutchinson hit Bernard Berrian over the middle of the field for a 38-yard gain and the rookie came within a shoestring tackle of going the distance. The Bears lost 11 yards on their next three plays and had to settle for an Edinger field goal. Drive: 5 plays, 26 yards in 2:06. Jaguars 7, Bears 3.

SECOND QUARTER: PK Josh Scobee 30-yard yard field goal at 0:31. In the two-minute offense, Leftwich completed three of his first four passes for 50 yards to get the Jaguars in field goal range. The Chicago defense kept Jacksonville out of the end zone, but allowed the Jaguars their lead before halftime. Drive: 8 plays, 56 yards in 1:13. Jaguars 10, Bears 3.

THIRD QUARTER: Scobee 25-yard field goal at 5:36. Starting in Chicago territory, Leftwich hit Jimmy Smith for 16 yards a first down at the 29. The defense got the turnover they needed when Mike Green forced Todd Yoder to fumble and Brian Urlacher recovered the ball. However, Charles Tillman was flagged for a personal foul because he hit Leftwich late. Jacksonville converted the mistake into three more points. Drive: 7 plays, 37 yards in 4:16. Jaguars 13, Bears 3.

FOURTH QUARTER: LB Daryl Smith sacked Chad Hutchinson in the end zone for a safety at 13:48. A 50-yard punt by Chris Hanson pinned the Bears inside the five. A questionable call by Terry Shea had Hutchinson using playaction, but the Jacksonville blitz was too much for the protection. Jaguars 15, Bears 3.

FOURTH QUARTER: WR Jimmy Smith 31-yard touchdown reception from Leftwich at 9:26. Following the free kick on the safety Jacksonville started at the 40. Fred Taylor turned it into the Chicago 40 with a 20-yard run. On the drive Leftwich completed 4-of-5 for 51 yards, including the touchdown pass to Smith, which came on 3rd and 27. Drive: 7 plays, 61 yards in 4:22.
