Bears Announce Ticket Price Hike

LAKE FOREST- Despite three straight losing seasons and eight in the past nine, the Bears have decided to raise ticket prices for a portion of the seats at Soldier Field.

The Bears announced ticket price increases for the 2005 season throughout non-club and club level seating at Soldier Field.

Non-club level tickets account for approximately 85 percent of in-stadium seating and over half of those seats will not have price increases.

The jump will be from $3 to $5 per seat. Ticket prices in the non-club seating area will range from $50 to $85 in 2005.

Club level seats will be bumped by $7 to $15. Club 3 will increase by $7, Club 2 $12 or $15 for Club.

Club seat holders have exclusive access to the Cadillac Club on game days. In 2005, the Cadillac Club will feature new programs including alumni autograph sessions. Ticket prices in the club levels will range from $202 to $330 in 2005.

The Bears 2005 home schedule includes match-ups against three NFC North rivals, as well as Atlanta, Carolina, San Francisco, Baltimore and Cincinnati.

Although some may joke the additional revenue will go toward signing free agents, it's the second straight year the team has increased prices. End zone seating saw a bump last year.
