LAKE FOREST, IL - The seventh annual Bears Care Gala will be held Friday, May 10th at 7:00 pm at the Chicago Ritz-Carlton. Nearly 600 guests are expected to attend the Gala, including team owner Virginia McCaskey, Chairman Emeritus Ed McCaskey, Chairman of the Board Michael McCaskey, Bears Care President Nancy McCaskey, Bears President and CEO Ted Phillips, General Manager Jerry Angelo, 2001 NFL Coach of the Year Dick Jauron and many former and current Bears.

In the past six years, the Bears Care Galas have raised over $3 million to support breast and ovarian cancer research and treatment. Proceeds from the event benefit breast and ovarian cancer research and treatment programs at Cook County Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center.

The Gala will include a fabulous raffle, featuring prizes such as a trip for two to the 2003 Super Bowl in San Diego, two sets of round-trip tickets to any destination in the world United flies, $5,000 cash and the opportunity to travel to a Bears away game on the team charter with accommodations at the team hotel.
