Where are they now?

Rick Casares played fullback for the Bears from 1955-64. He finished his career with the Redskins and Dolphins in 1965-66. Joe Fortunato played linebacker for Chicago from 1955-66. Both were a part of the 1963 NFL Championship team that saw the Bears defeat the Giants 14-10.

Casares has worked for the past three decades as a consultant for Global Media Management Group, which provides financial backing for television and film productions.

Casares lives in Tampa, Fla., with Polly, his wife of 32 years. He has one daughter and a grandchild. IN his spare time, Casares likes to golf, fish and snow ski.

Fortunato has owned an oil and gas exploration company since 1958. He lives in Natchez, Miss., and has three children and four grandchildren. Fortunate hosts an annual golf tournament to provide scholarships for local youths. His hobbies include fresh-water fishing, golfing and playing tennis.
