Here is an updated version of the National Football League calendar:

June 1 - Deadline for old clubs to send tender to unsigned unrestricted free agents to receive exclusive negotiating rights for rest of season if another club does not sign player by July 22. June 1 - Deadline for old clubs to send tender to unsigned restricted free agents or to extend qualifying offer to retain exclusive negotiating rights.

June 15 - Deadline for old clubs to withdraw original qualifying offer to unsigned restricted free agents and still retain exclusive negotiating rights by substituting tender of 110 percent of previous year's salary.

June 15 - NFL Europe League regular season ends.

June 22 - World Bowl X, Dusseldorf, Germany.

Mid-July - Training camps open. Clubs not permitted to open camps before July 5. Veteran players cannot be required to report earlier than 15 days prior to club's first preseason game or July 15, whichever is later.

July 22 - Signing period ends at 4:00 PM ET for unrestricted free agents who received June 1 tender.

August 3 - American Bowl, Osaka, Japan - San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Redskins (ESPN).

August 5 - Pro Football Hall of Fame Game - Houston Texans vs. New York Giants (ABC).

August 8-12 - First full preseason weekend.

August 27 - Roster cutdown to maximum of 65 players.

September 1 - Roster cutdown to maximum of 53 players (Houston allowed 56).

September 2 - Clubs may establish practice squad of five players.

September 5-9 - Kickoff 2002 Weekend.

September 23 - Houston roster cutdown to maximum of 53 players.

October 15 - Trading deadline.

October 30-31 - NFL Fall Meeting, New York City.

December 28-30 - Regular season ends. 2003

January 4-5 - Wild Card Weekend.

January 11-12 - Divisional Playoffs.

January 19 - Conference Championships.

January 26 - Super Bowl XXXVII, San Diego, California (ABC).

February 3 - AFC-NFC Pro Bowl, Honolulu, Hawaii (ABC).

February 20-24 - Scouting Combine, Indianapolis, Indiana.

March 23-26 - NFL Annual Meeting, Phoenix, Arizona.

April 26-27 - NFL Draft, New York City.
