Free Agency Delayed

The NFL has decided to delay free agency until Monday to avoid "Bloody Thursday."

The NFL announced late Thursday afternoon that it is extending its deadline for free agency by three days to delay a possible purge of high-priced players from team rosters.

The announcement came down from NFL vice president of communications and public affairs Joe Brown seven hours before the scheduled start of free agency.

The deadline to get in cap compliance now is 6:00 pm EST on Sunday barring another push back by both sides. Scout.com will have more on the ramifications of this as the details emerge.
