The Bears continue to work during a two-week mini-camp, but several starters are on the sidelines including Ted Washington, Marcus Robinson, Bryan Robinson and Jim Miller.

Although, the aforementioned players are recovering from injuries all of them are expected to participate in training camp on some level.

Ted Washington is still recovering from off-season ankle surgery and an ensuing infection. Head coach Dick Jauron said the defensive tackle wouldn't see any action until training camp, which begins July 25.

Defensive end Bryan Robinson, who broke his left wrist after falling over his dog and down some stairs in his house last month, had a bandage over the surgically repaired area. He also broke his right wrist in the mishap.

"I'm fine, and I'll be back for training camp,'' Robinson grumbled.

Jauron concurred with Robinson and said the defensive end should be ready when the team reports to Bourbonnais.

Wide receiver Marcus Robinson, who is recovering from major knee surgery, ran at times but not in drills. According to Jauron he won't be ready until early to mid August.

Miller's injured side is the least serious of the group, but the team is still taking no chances with their starting quarterback.

"We're going to be very careful with it," Jauron said. "We don't think it's anything major, but I don't see any reason to put him back on the field right now. I know how badly he wants to be out there, but I also know we're in early June we start training July 25, I want to make sure it's something that doesn't linger."
