While the Bears have made little news this off-season, the rest of the division is busy trying to close the gap. Catch the off-season moves from the rivals to the north.

  • Joey Harrington's time in Detroit appears to becoming to an end, as the Lions added their second free agent quarterback in two days. Detroit agreed to a two-year deal with Josh McCown on Thursday.

  • QB Jon Kitna agreed to a contract with Detroit on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

  • TE Dan Campbell signed with Detroit, where he will be a good blocking option behind starter Marcus Pollard, who is a much better receiver.

  • DE Kalimba Edwards re-signed with Detroit to a five-year deal.

  • WR/Kr Eddie Drummond re-signed with Detroit to a five-year deal.

  • WR Corey Bradford signed a four-year deal with Detroit. Bradford, who played for Houston the past four years, reunites with receivers coach Kippy Brown, who was Bradford's position coach with the Texans.

  • CB Andre Goodman agreed to a three-year deal with Miami that is reportedly worth $5 million with another $2.5 million in potential incentives.

  • OL Kyle Kosier signed with Dallas, where he could play a number of positions. Kosier started 11 games at left guard for Detroit last season, but has also started at both tackle spots in his career. Kosier signed a five-year, $15 million deal that includes a $5 million signing bonus.

  • DT Ryan Pickett has signed with Green Bay. The free agent from St. Louis will replace Grady Jackson, who himself is a free agent.

  • WR Rod Gardner has agreed to return to Green Bay, reportedly for a one-year deal.

  • DL Kenny Peterson re-signed with the Packers. Peterson, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive lineman from Ohio State, re-signed as a restricted free agent. The Packers' third-round choice in the 2003 NFL Draft, Peterson last season posted career highs in tackles (30), solo stops (17), sacks (three), passes defensed (four) and forced fumbles (two). The fourth-year player, who helped the Buckeyes to a national championship in 2002, has played both defensive tackle and defensive end for the Packers.

  • OT Kevin Barry re-signed with the Packers. Barry, a 6-foot-4, 332-pound offensive tackle out of Arizona, rejoined the club as an unrestricted free agent. A fifth-year player who hails from Racine, Wis., Barry originally made the Packers' season-opening roster in 2002 as a nondrafted rookie free agent. In four seasons Barry has made eight starts while playing in 59 games, including all 16 in 2005.

  • FS Marquand Manuel agreed to a multi-year contract with Green Bay in a deal that had been rumored to be in the works before free agency began. Manuel, a 6-foot, 209-pound safety out of Florida, filled a major void in the Seattle secondary last season and helped the Seahawks to a berth in Super Bowl XL. Elevated to replace an injured Ken Hamlin in Week 7, Manuel started at free safety over the team's final 13 games, including playoffs. In 16 regular-season contests (11 starts), Manuel tied for third on the club with 67 tackles (54 solo), two passes defensed and one fumble recovery.

  • DE Aaron Kampman signed a four-year contract extension with the Packers. "This is a great, great moment for myself and my family," said Kampman, who added he had begun to receive calls from other teams. "In the end this is the place I wanted to be."

  • WR Harry Williams was claimed by Green Bay on waivers from the New York Jets. Williams, a 6-foot-2, 186-pound wide receiver from Tuskegee, played in one contest during his 2005 rookie season.

  • The Vikings have traded Daunte Culpepper and are now left with Brad Johnson as their starting quarterback. The team is interested in adding veteran help at the position, but several free agent signal callers have already signed with other clubs.

  • The Vikings have made a $49 million contract offer to guard Steve Hutchinson. The Seattle Seahawks have the right to match the offer after putting the transition tag on Hutchinson, but Minnesota frontloaded the deal to make it difficult for that to happen.

  • CB Brian Williams, who had the transition tag from Minnesota rescinded by the Vikings, signed with Jacksonville on the first day of free agency. His deal is for six years and reportedly worth around $32 million with a $10 million signing bonus.

  • S Corey Chavous signed a five-year deal with St. Louis that reportedly is worth $12 million during the first three seasons.
