LAKE FOREST, IL - The Chicago Bears promoted Bobby Slater to the newly established position of Director of Rehabilitation. In his newest role within the team's athletic training department, Slater will lead the Bears player rehabilitation efforts including all surgical cases.

Slater joined the team full-time in 1999 and has spent the last three seasons as an assistant athletic trainer.

The Pittsburgh native graduated from Florida Southern College and earned his master's degree at Mississippi State University. He held training camp internships with the Bears in 1994 and 1998 and with the Dolphins in 1995.
