The Kane County Eagles are a AAA Semi-Pro, Minor League Football team with ties to the Bears. Former Chicago great Bobby Douglas is QB & wide-receiver coach, while his son Ryan is the Eagles quarterback. According to the teams GM Pat Sharpe he has an arm-like-a-gun much like his father, who played for the Bears from 1969-75.

Kal Gibron, who is the son of former Bear Abe Gibron, is a scout coordinator. He has been working with the Canadian Football League; but recently moved to Algonquin, Illinois.

The Eagles, who practice at Blackhawk Park in Hoffman Estates, Rte 72 & Huntington Dr. and play their games at Mooseheart Stadium, Rt. 31, in Batavia, are looking for football players.

Bears on TV: Fox Sports will broadcast "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" with host Tom Arnold from Jim McMahon's Restaurant in Glenview on July 11.

Guests will include McMahon, William "Refrigerator" Perry, Willie Gault, Richard Dent and Otis Wilson. Mike Singletary will appear via satellite. The live taping is open to the public and scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Call McMahon's at 847-803-0009 for more info.
