Fan Fair: Message Board Post of the Week

WPayton34 was one of the many Bears fan to make the trip to Minneapolis this past Sunday. Not only was he on hand to see a thrilling win for the Monsters of the Midway, he actually sat right behind Rex Grossman's family at the Metrodome. He decided to share his experience with us and earned the Bear Report Message Board Post of the Week.

"I was at the Bears game today in Minneapolis. Grossman's dad, mother, and wife sat directly in front of me. 50 yard line, 20 rows up behind Bears bench.

"His wife is gorgeous.

"I've never seen somebody so happy as Grossman's dad was after the game. He was jumping around and giving little kids autographed Grossman cards. He did not give one to me though, despite the fact that my buddy was sporting Grossman's #8 Florida jersey. His dad did do the Gator chomp for us, however.

"Anyways, I shook Papa Grossman's hand at the end of the game and told him that his son is one hell of a player. I said that we've had faith in him all along (even though some did not). All-in-all, it was pretty cool talking to the guy and staring at Rex's wife.

"The Metrodome was sooo damn loud. I don't know how the Bears were able to hear anything down there.

"There was a dunk tank in the tailgaiting area with a guy in an Urlacher jersey. $5 got you four throws to try to hit the bullseye, which was 15 feet away. I paid the five bucks but was escorted from the area after throwing the first ball 35 yards the opposite direction of the tank. I received much praise from Bear fans. Some guy even came up to me after the game and said he appreciated my pregame escapade. He shook my hand and thanked me.

"What a fantastic day."
