Fan Fair: Message Board Post of the Week

It's amazing how the first 5-0 start for the Bears since 1986 will put a positive spin on just about everything. Still, Nate8727 feels that the likes of the Jacksonville Jaguars are being shown too much respect. He enlists some help from defensive end Adewale Ogunleye and earns the Bear Report Message Board Post of the Week.

I was really irritated because it seems even after we blow someone out, there's always one team that has a bigger one than us. This week it was Jacksonville.

I'd really love to play them this season and expose them for the fluke that they are. 41-0 to the Jets, c'mon. We could beat them 45-0 just to even the score and prove Byron Leftwich is just an afterthought.

Bears coach Lovie Smith and defensive coordinator Ron Rivera insist on keeping the defensive players humble in spite of their auspicious start.

"The mistakes get pointed out," Adewale Ogunleye said. "You are thinking that you are having a good off day Tuesday and you are happy about everything. But then coach has about 15 or 20 plays where he is just chewing us out. And we are thinking, 'Did we shut this team out?' or 'Didn't they just score seven points on us?' But that's the best thing about this defense. We know we haven't even played our best game yet."
