Backup defensive tackle Alfonso Boone returned from a knee sprain, which he suffered nearly two weeks ago. Center Kevin Dogins was also able to practice.
Chris Villarrial, who has been out with a broken bone in his hand will miss Friday's game with the Rams, but will begin running on Sunday and should be able to participate in some team drills.
However, Mike Gandy walked off the field with a knee injury and will need to be reevaluated.
Ted Washington didn't practice as a precautionary measure. The team doesn't plan to use Washington until the third preseason contest at earliest.
Jauron said the team is concerned with getting the defensive tackle ready for the season opener against the Vikings.
Bobby Gray, who was injured in the fourth quarter against Denver, also sat out practice Monday.
Jauron was impressed with Gray, who paced the team with five tackles.
"I thought Bobby acquitted himself well for his first game and I think he'll do better," Jauron said.
Expressing Concern Chris Chandler, who played briefly in the preseason opener completing one of three passes for six yards, said he needs more game action to prepare for the season.
"Maybe a little more than I'm used to getting in the preseason just because of the new offense," Chandler said. "It won't take long. You want to get you work and you want to get some good work and you want to get out of there."
The veteran said he'll be ready either way, but he would rather play with the first unit. Chandler was sacked twice and fumbled the ball on one occasion with the backup lineman in the game.
"With the way things went there's definitely some concern," Chandler said of the second string offensive line. "But, again Olin and those guys up front didn't play much and a lot of the young guys did. There's still some improving to be done."
