Blackout Avoided

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that TCF BANK, a proud partner of the Chicago Bears, has agreed to purchase 1,600 tickets to help the Bears avoid a television blackout in the Chicagoland area for Friday night's game against Jacksonville. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. on WBBM Channel 2 with a pre-game show at 6:00 p.m. The ticket purchase by TCF BANK puts the Bears over the league-mandated blackout number of 52,057 for Memorial Stadium in Champaign.

TCF BANK will donate a portion of the tickets to a number of Chicago and downstate charities, including YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Glenwood School for Boys and the Champaign County YMCA while the Bears will donate the remaining tickets to Chicago Public Schools-NFL Junior Player Development, the Chicago Park District and Maryville Academy.

"TCF BANK is a valued partner of the Bears," Bears Chief Marketing Officer Dave Greeley said. "This gesture shows their commitment to the Bears and our fans."
