LAKE FOREST, IL - The following is game day information for fans traveling to Champaign for Bears games during the 2002 season:

Transportation: Pearson Transportation is the Official Motorcoach of the Bears 2002 season in Champaign. For information on round-trip transportation, pick-up locations, times and availability call Pearson Transportation at 866-84-BEARS (23277) or visit their website at

Parking Hours: The parking lots will open 4 hours prior to kickoff. Fans are encouraged to vacate the lots no later than 2 hours following the conclusion of the game.

Fees: Parking fees are $20 per automobile, $60 per recreational vehicle/motor home, and $60 per chartered coach.

Campers: will be accepted in Lot E-14 (SW of Stadium on Kirby).

Buses: will be accepted on Pennsylvania Avenue just NE of the stadium.

Policies: The following elements are not allowed in parking lots: Tents of any size, Open fires, Weapons, fireworks, Saving parking places, Disorderly conduct, Advertising banners or displays, Picketing or political campaigning, Tethered blimps, balloons, and other oversized inflatables.

Tailgating: Will be permitted in all lots.

Street Fest: Prior to the game, come out and visit the Bears Street Fest, located at the North end of Lot A along Kirby Avenue between Oak and First Streets, for live music, food vendors, interactive games and more. The festivities will begin three hours before kickoff of all games and end 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

Alcoholic Beverages: Are strictly prohibited from being carried into Memorial Stadium. Beer will be sold at designated concession stands within the stadium. To purchase beer, patrons must show proper identification, such as a valid state driver's license, military ID card, state issued photo ID, or government issued ID.

Designated Drivers: Sign up to be a Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver. If you are 21 years of age or older, pledge not to drink alcoholic beverages at Bears games and provide responsible transportation for all members of your group, please visit a designated driver booth. Booths are located at Gates 15 and 16 and information is also available at all Guest Services Booths.

Gates: Open two hours prior to kickoff. Every patron regardless of age, must have a ticket. Each patron should hold his or her ticket stub throughout the game to verify seat location.

Prohibited Items: For the comfort and safety of all patrons, the following items are not permitted to be brought into Memorial Stadium: bags, backpacks, large purses, fanny packs, cans or bottles or other beverage containers, coolers, ice chests, alcoholic beverages, umbrellas, video or movie cameras, noise-making devices, poles to display banners or flags, laser pens and pointers, and any other item deemed to be dangerous or inappropriate. The Bears and the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics cannot safeguard items that are not permitted to be brought into Memorial Stadium. All patrons are subject to search. Please allow plenty of time to enter the stadium.

Directions From the North: Take I-57 South to University Avenue (East). Turn right (South) onto Mattis Avenue. Follow Mattis Avenue to Kirby Avenue. Turn left (East) on Kirby Avenue and continue to football parking lots.

Note: An alternate, less congested route is available by continuing South on Mattis to Windsor Road. Turn left onto Windsor Road and continue East, then turn left on either First Street or Lincoln Avenue to reach football parking lots.

From the East or West on I-74: Take I-74 East or West to the Lincoln Avenue exit. Take Lincoln Avenue South to Florida Avenue. Turn right (West) onto Florida Avenue and continue West to football parking lots. From the West on I-72: I-72 becomes University Avenue in Champaign. Follow directions outlined above in directions from the North.

Alternate directions to and from the stadium that bypass University Avenue to Mattis and Kirby.

Drivers from Chicago can exit Hwy 57 at I-74 (north of University), take 74 East to Lincoln, then Lincoln south to the stadium area.

Another route is 57 south past University to Monticello Road, then Monticello east to Rt. 45. Turn north (left) at 45 to the stadium parking area.
