BearReport Audio: DE Dan Bazuin

Nobody is doubting DE Dan Bazuin is a heckuva football player. He has the speed and skills that Lovie Smith looks for, but most Bears fans felt there were bigger needs at receiver and offensive line. Bazuin was interviewed Monday on WTKG 1230AM in Grand Rapids by hosts Bennie Covington and Jeff Daum along with's Nate Caminata, and subscribers can listen to it right here.

If there was one position where the Bears probably didn't need too much help next season, it was defensive end.

Both Alex Brown and Adewale Ogunleye are solid if not spectacular starters, plus they happen to be two of the most respected veterans in the locker room. Mark Anderson came in as a rookie last year and led the team in sacks, so even bigger things are expected from him this year. Although Dan Bazuin brings an impressive resume from Central Michigan, some experts feel he might not even crack the defensive line rotation.

But remember, nobody was expecting GM Jerry Angelo to select a DE last year either, yet Anderson turned out to be the steal of the draft.

Find out what Bazuin had to say about the NFL Draft process, being selected by the Bears, and what he brings to the table in this exclusive audio feature:
