News Alert

About 100,000 bobblehead dolls modeled in the likeness of Bears players Brian Urlacher and Anthony Thomas are being recalled because they have excessive amounts of lead on some of the figurines, U.S. safety regulators said on Tuesday.

The dolls were sold at McDonald's restaurants in the Chicago area starting last month.

"If ingested over time by children, the lead from the paint may present a lead poisoning hazard," the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement, adding the figurines should be kept away from children.

McDonald's has not received any reports of injuries or accidents involving the figurines, made by Bobble Dreams USA, but the two firms are conducting the voluntary recall as a precaution.
