Miller returned to practice Thursday, but with pain in his elbow and shoulder will be relegated to backup duties.
The Bears haven't discussed shutting down Miller for a long period of time.
"No we really have talked about that," Jauron said. "He (Miller) certainly hasn't talked about that. You know Jim he's very disappointed about the whole thing."
GM Jerry Angelo spoke to the media Thursday about a variety of topics including the quarterback situation. Angelo, Jauron, John Shoop and members of the Bears medical staff recently met to discuss what they should do at quarterback with Miller clearly limited if willing and Chandler unable to make a difference in two starts at Detroit and Minnesota. Angelo was asked if he agreed with the Bears offensive philosophy and answered that he understands it and is comfortable with it.
``Our defense is not what it's been, and by and large we won last year because we gave up the fewest points in the league," Angelo said. ``We're not doing that this year...so there is more burden on offense to score. I know this, we had opportunities Sunday, we weren't able to capitalize on them. That was unfortunate."
