It's good to have another win to talk about this week. I would say that the spirits of the members of this team are definitely on an upswing. It's nice to begin another week looking back on positives instead of wondering why things went wrong.

I felt that the Jets played a good game. As a defense, we kept with our game plan and it seemed to work as planned. We got the offense on the field and they were able to score some points. That's what we need to be doing. It's such a nice change to have the breaks go our way for a change as they did at the end of the game.

I personally wasn't satisfied with my level of play, then I suppose that I never am. I want sacks and I want big plays all of the time. That's the level of play that I expect from myself and I think that is what is executed of me.

Coach Blache is always telling us that we are making a lot of mistakes out there and that our good plays are fewer than our bad ones. He's probably right. Every time that I am on the field, I think of something that I should be doing better. The game of professional football is an ongoing process. You have to always be learning from your mistakes and correcting them. That's the only way to improve.

I'm looking forward to next week's game against the Panthers. We are watching game films right now and refining our schemes. It looks as if quite a few of the rookies will be starting and seeing significant playing time. This is a great opportunity for all of us to show the coaches exactly what we can contribute to this team. It's important to get a positive momentum in that direction going right now. That is what tends to carry you through the off season.

My body seems to be in pretty good shape at this point in t he season. It hasn't been easy. I think that the length of time that we've been playing has begun to wear a little on just about everybody. You get a little sore, you get a little tired but that's to be expected I guess. Each of us has to find a way to get through this and to be ready when game time rolls around each week.

We won't be spending Christmas with our families or our friends because that is just a few days before the Tampa Bay game. There's no time for a letdown even if it is in the middle of the holidays. We'll leave the celebrating until our last game is over. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody in January when I head back down south and catch some of that nice warm weather.

I'm hoping that we will be talking about another win at this time next week. We'll do our best. Nobody here has lost the desire to achieve, and that's exactly what we're going to do.
