<!--Default NodeId For Stanley Pritchett is 292236,2002--><A HREF=[PlayerNode:292236]>Stanley Pritchett</A> is a fullback by trade, but can play some tight end in a pinch. That was the case this season when a decimated tight end unit needed another body, Pritchett stepped in and did the job.
He's not the blocker you'd want as a tight end or even at fullback, but he can catch the ball. Pritchett finished the year with 19 catches with primarily only starters ahead of him in total receptions.
Daimon Shelton missed the first three games of the years because of a suspension carryover from 2001. Pritchett's role increased during that span and continued throughout the season.
Pritchett will turn 30 this year, but seems to have plenty left in his game.
If he's not used an every down player Pritchett can be effective because he finds a way to get open, which is something the Bears don't have enough of.
