They Said It: Denver Postgame

After a solid outing in Denver on both sides of the ball, the Chicago Bears had plenty to talk about in the Invesco Field locker room. Here are just a few of the highlights that were offered up by the likes of coach Lovie Smith, quarterback Jay Cutler and linebacker Brian Urlacher.

Lovie Smith

On comparing this team to the Super Bowl team from three years ago:
"That was a good team, and this one is also. It's early in the game to tell. On paper, we like what we have at each position. We have a long way to go, but I like the progress we're making. I hope we have that type of team."

QB Jay Cutler

On being on the opposing sideline at Invesco Field:
"It was a little weird being in a different locker room and being on the other sideline, but that's how it goes. I love where I'm at in Chicago, and I like where we are going offensively."

DT Tommie Harris

On QB Jay Cutler playing in a hostile environment:
"Jay's Mr. Consistent. He's going to give us a great game every week. We are fortunate to have him on our team. He never gets rattled, and that is a great quality to have."

LB Brian Urlacher

On the play of the Bears offense:
"We're getting stiff over there on the sideline. They were able to get that 98-yard drive in right before the half, and it really helps, but we haven't been able to play a lot this preseason."

C Olin Kreutz

On the offensive performance overall:
"We scored, so that is a good thing. But we understand it's the preseason. We need to just keep getting better in preparation for Green Bay."

TE Greg Olsen

On his general assessment of Sunday's game:
"They came out pretty fired up and with a lot of energy, but we were able to weather the storm. It was good because we were able to sustain some drives, and it gave us a lot of plays and game experience."

RB Matt Forte

On playing in front of a nasty crowd on the road:
"There is always extra emotion when it's an away game. Tonight it was loud for a preseason game and was good experience as we continue to prepare for Green Bay and the regular season."
