In the Bears quarterback carousel Cory Sauter was the last to take a snap in the 2002 season. However, it was likely his last.

Sauter, who has been in the league for three years, didn't take a snap until joining the Bears. Sauter went 6-9 for 59 yards and drew the team closer to scoring then Henry Burris, but that was in garbage time against the Bucs.

With Jim Miller and Chris Chandler having injury problems the majority of the season the team needed another quarterback beside Henry Burris.

The Bears will add at least two quarterbacks in the offseason. Chandler and Burris will be lucky to be back in Chicago, while Miller is a lock to be the backup if not the starter. The chances of Sauter returning are about as good as GM Jerry Angelo firing Dick Jauron and going after Steve Mariucci.

Likelihood of Sauter returning: 5-95 against.
