I'm still at Competitive Edge Sports in Atlanta where I've been working on all the skills that will be highlighted at the tryout. Things are going well and I'm feeling good about my chances. Of course, any tryout has an element of uncertainty. All that you can do is to give the scouts your best effort.
My agent received a call from the Patriots last week. They seem to have some interest in me. That of course is very good news. Hopefully I'll be hearing from some other teams as well after meeting their scouts this week.
The second tryout for NFL scouts will be in mid April, just before the draft. That will be another chance to make contact with the teams and to show them what I can do.
I'm heading into the draft both as a linebacker and as a fullback. Those are the positions I played at Lake Forest College. Versatility can be important when a professional team is looking at you.
That's all for now. Next week, I'll talk about what happened in Chicago.
