Cincinnati Down To 75 With Latest Cuts

The Bengals are down to the Sept. 1 maximum of 75 players after shifting three players to injured lists. All could remain Bengals.

The Bengals today made the following roster moves, reaching the NFL’s Sept. 1 limit of 75 players on the active list:

* Placed rookie offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi of Texas A&M on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list.

Ogbuehi will remain with the team for rehab and meetings, but may not practice for Weeks 1-6 of the regular season.

Beginning the week following Week 6, he will begin a window of eligibility to return to practice under a roster exemption, if medically cleared.

* Placed third-year linebacker Sean Porter of Texas A&M on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

The parameters for Porter regarding this placement are the same as for Cedric Ogbuehi.

* Released first-year WR Onterio McCalebb of Auburn under the Waived/Injured category.

If McCalebb, a converted defensive back, clears waivers tomorrow, he will revert to the Bengals’ Reserve/Injured list for 2015.
