Cincinnati football fans donated thousand of pounds of food and cash at Monday's food drive at Paul Brown Stadium.

The results are in from the Bengals' 29th annual canned food drive prior to Monday's game against the Houston Texans at Paul Brown Stadium.

Bengals fans who gave canned food and cash while attending Monday night's football game against the Houston Texans can feel pretty good about being part of a great cause.

On the receiving end of the 29th annual canned food drive, it could be a good Thanksgiving for someone who otherwise might not have had enough food to eat.

The Bengals may have lost 10-6 to the Texans, ending a perfect 8-0 run to begin the season, but many people benefitted from the generosity of fans attending Monday's nationally televised game.

The Bengals and the Freestore Foodbank said Friday that fans donated 7,215 pounds of food and $21,600 in cash prior to Monday's game at Paul Brown Stadium.

The Freestore Foodbank said the donations will help provide more than 70,000 meals to help feed children and families in the community during the holidays.

The Bengals issued a press release today thanking fans for their generosity in supporting the event.
