It's Official. Darqueze Dennard Is Out For The Year. Rookie Cedric Ogbuehi Replaces Him On The Roster

Bengals confirm earlier reports that cornerback Darqueze Dennard is out for the season while activating for the first time rookie offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi

The Bengals have confirmed the worst about second-year cornerback Darqueze Dennard, leaving the thinning ranks at corner another man down.

On the positive side, rookie offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi makes his active roster debut, replacing Dennard.

From the Bengals:

The Bengals today made the following roster moves:

Activated OT Cedric Ogbuehi (“o-BWAY-hee”) to the roster from the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list. Ogbuehi is a rookie from Texas A&M, the Bengals’ first-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. It was known at the time of his selection that a knee injury he suffered in his final college game would delay his readiness to play in 2015. Ogbuehi has been participating in practices since Nov. 10.

Placed CB Darqueze Dennard on the Reserve/Injured list. Dennard, a Bengals first-round draft choice in 2014, suffered a shoulder separation in this past Sunday’s game at Arizona. He played in this season’s first 10 games and had 16 tackles, one INT and three total passes defensed.
