Injured Bengals Quarterback Andy Dalton Nearly Ready To Throw Again

Red Rifle conservatively erring on side of caution before airing it out with the football.

Andy Dalton is ready to throw.

But, he's not that ready.

Dalton, who broke the thumb on his right throwing hand and missed everything after the second Pittsburgh game, says he can toss a football.

But, according to the Bengals' official web site, he will hold off on throwing for just a little bit longer.

“Not throwing yet because we are being very conservative with it,” Dalton said in a text this week to the team's site.

“I feel like I can throw but no reason to push anything right now. I have plenty of time now to get 100 percent.”

It's been eight weeks since Dalton broke his thumb and missed the last four games.

Bengals.com says he plans to attend Dr. Tom House’s quarterbacks camp at USC for the third straight offseason.

No dates have been set.
