It's hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain, and it's tough to beat the Bengals in the month of November.
The Bengals’ best month in the regular season during head coach Marvin Lewis' tenure since the start of 2003 is the third month of the NFL season.
Cincinnati is 31-21-1 for a .594 winning percentage in November. The Bengals were right there this past season at 3-2, a winning percentage of .600.
So, remember to go with the Bengals in the month of November in next season's confidence-points leagues.
The Bengals also have done well under Lewis in September, with a 25-18 record, good for a .581 winning percentage. They bettered that this past September with a 3-0 start that eventually stretched to 8-0.
The Bengals are 33-28-0 (.541) in December/January over the last 13 years. This past season it was a little better than that, at 3-2.
October has been the only losing month for Cincinnati under Lewis, who has coached the Bengals to a 23-27-1 record (.461) during the first full month of fall. That wasn't the case in 2015. Cincinnati was 3-0 in October as it raced to a team-best start.
The Bengals finished the 2015 season with a 12-4 record, tying for the best in franchise history.
