Watson released

Defensive back Chris Watson spent three rocky years in Buffalo, but that came to a close today when the Bills officially released him.

Watson's struggles in pass coverage last season led Bills fans to wonder, "What took you so long?"

Originally acquired in a trade with the Broncos, cornerback Watson had played in 44 games, with 13 starts, during his three seasons with the Bills.

On Tuesday, Buffalo also added a player, signing free-agent offensive lineman T.J. Watkins. An undrafted free agent a year ago, Watkins made the Seahawks' roster. He had played both guard and tackle at Clemson University.
