Rob Johnson aggravated his throwing hand's jammed index finger Tuesday afternoon. During 11-on-11 drills, Johnson's hand looked to come in contact with unidentified defenders. He left the field a few minutes later with Bills trainers. He was incidentally holding his elbow. When reporters, just doing their jobs, rushed to his direction, Bills media relations officials held them back.

Gregg Williams said the injury wasn't serious, though he was indubitably peeved that it occurred on the Bills' practice field.

"That's not how we practice. When I talked to our respective defenders, they are instructed to make sure that there's no closeness to that kind of injury happening, and we'll have a chat tonight in the team meeting about that."

It marks the second time Johnson has aggravated the injury in three days. Against St. Louis Sunday, he hurt it sliding on a scramble . . .

Defensive end Erik Flowers and running back Travis Henry did not practice Tuesday. Flowers bruised a knee and Henry sprained his big toe during the Rams game.
