Donald Trump could have been gracious in defeat when it came to purchasing the Buffalo Bills, but when has "The Donald" ever been gracious?
Trump's bid for the Bills was less than what Jon Bon Jovi's group and Terry and Kim Pegula offered for the team. The Pegulas paid $1.4 billion for the team and were officially voted in as owners on Wednesday.
Today, Trump took to Twitter to troll Buffalo Bills fans about their team and their new owner. Trump sent out the following series of tweets from his official Twitter account.
"The people of Buffalo should be happy Terry Pegula got the team but I hope he does better w/the Bills than he has w/the Sabres. Good luck!"
"Even though I refused to pay a ridiculous price for the Buffalo Bills, I would have produced a winner. Now that won’t happen."
"The NFL games are so boring now that actually, I’m glad I didn’t get the Bills. Boring games, too many flags, too soft!"
The Sabres.also owned by the Pegulas, currently sit at 0-3-0 and are expected to be one of the worst teams in the league. That said, the Sabres are believed to have one of the most talented prospect pools in the NHL.
Trump's second tweet was rather blunt. Trump feels that the Pegulas overpaid for the Bills and that he won't turn the team into winners. The Pegulas don't believe they overpaid and that's all that matters. As for turnng the Bills into winners, Pegula probably deserves more than a week to prove himself.
The billionaire saved the best for last. Claiming he's happy he didn't win afterall. Something tells me that Trump won't be bidding on any other NFL teams in his lifetime. It's probably for the best.
